Most days, I have a hard time waiting until I can post info about what’s new and hot coming out of Microsoft. Today, I had a different problem. I DIDN’T HAVE THE LAPTOP WITH ME AT THE PARK DURING THE FIREWORKS! AAAAAAAHAHHHHHHH!!!!!
Ok, back in control. I’m very VERY happy to announce that the beta of Visual Studio 2005 SP1 is now available (which in turn means that the VSDBPro SP1 beta is also going to be available since the 180 day trial was set to expire soon).
This is great news. There were some items that really needed to be addressed (see the bug list sites). VSDBPro is coming along nicely and the integration between database development and code development is finally starting to happen (Thanks VSFoxPro team!).
Well, there’s so much more, but I just got back from some fantastic fireworks on Puget Sound (I was 100 yards away from the fireworks barge, even closer that those who got out in boats {Take that you boat guys}). So I’m completely bushed but I just could NOT wait to let you know that Soma made the VS05 SP1 beta public!
But wait! I’ve got more that just can’t wait. Check out the Silverlight Gears of War demo!!!!! I know I’ve posted quite a few game demos of Silverlight, but can you see your web app getting this kind of eye candy for real live app???? I AM TELLING YOU GUYS AND GIRLS THAT SILVERLIGHT IS GOING TO CHANGE EVERYTHING!!!!!!
Darn it, I have another one for you. Windows Home Server is putting out a challenge to put together the best app for WHS and if you win, you get money! Keep watch on the blog for more details.
I have more but I just have to catch some zzzzzz z z z z z z z z z
Happy coding!
